There are many tributes to great men. Andy was one of those, a man whose kind heart, desire, joviality, humility and knowledge has benefitted many. I found two quotes which really are most appropriate to the memory of such a great friend. " A great man does not seek applause or place; he seeks for truth; he seeks the road to happiness, and what he ascertains, he gives to others"--Robert Green Ingersoll. " A great man is a man who leaves others at a loss after he is gone"---Paul Valery. Rest peacefully my friend. Thank you for your friendship, thank you for your service. Stand easy.

Whilst I did not know Andy, I know that he will be very much missed by those who worked with him. His dedication and service to the people of Warwickshire as a long serving officer is hugely appreciated. My thoughts are with Andy's friends and families who are left behind. RIP Andy and thank you on behalf of Warwickshire Police.

Thank you for being a brilliant Uncle/Godfather. We will always hold special memories of your love for nature, your great sense of humour and sharp wit. You'll be sadly missed, hope your taking Boss and Beth for a nice walk up there. Until we meet again, rest easy Uncle Andrew xx

Yvonne would like to express a huge 'thank you' to all her past colleagues from Walmley Infant School for the generous collection that has taken place in Andy's name, and a donation being sent direct to the Mary Ann Evans Hospice for £115. This is an amazing amount of money for an amazing group of wonderful nurses that cared for Andy, and supported me and the family when we needed them the most - thank you Mary Ann Evans. Thank you, and love to all WIS friends and colleagues - you're all amazing too! xxx

❤️ A honour to call you Dad ❤️ Some may say you're not my real dad but I know this isn't true, For you've been a real Dad to me in all the things we've been through. I want to say thank you for being in my life, And enjoy each other’s company while watching YouTube’s wildlife. You’ve taught me things I never knew to which I want to thank, And how we spoke of many things and how we’d buy a tank. I’ll miss these moments and what they meant to me, And grateful for you being a Dad you didn’t have to be. I have all the memories in my heart of which I’m truly blessed, And still laugh at how, you would save most things for best. Your a beautiful person with a wonderful heart, And Ive miss you so much since we had to part. We may have not been related by blood, But you loved me more than anyone could. I'll treasure the memories and i'll not feel sad, Because I was so lucky to have found the perfect Dad.

Dear dad, thank you for fighting and never giving up when times were toughest. The hardest battles are fought by the toughest soldiers and your resolve was never rocked 💪. Thank you for all that you did for us and thank you for being you and teaching us all that you did. I wish we had more time with you to experience more laughter and achieve all that you wanted from life. You are now sadly gone from us but you will never be forgotten and we will do all we can to make you proud. Love you dad, your son, Lewis. Xxx
